Beautiful scarf!
Silk scarves of this quality usually cost three times the price. I like that I can use the five patterns to get five different looks, depending on how I fold the scarf, making it not only great for every day, but invaluable for travel.

Gorgeous light & shimmery silk scarf in an unusual design; lovely colors + luxe rolled hem
This is a very large, beautiful silk scarf. I chose the green + white + orange version which features a large abstract, sketched version of Pegasus with several smaller insets — very much like an illustration out of a vintage textbook on the anatomy of a horse (except this one is a fanciful winged horse). There are lines of script running around the border, which are in French, so I can only pick out a word here and there and there are also numbers indicating various features + little notes highlighting some of the details of the illustration. One half of the scarf is done in gorgeous colors against an ivory background and the other half is done in white against a sage green background. The drawing also includes love unusual designs and this one is probably the most unique scarf I own. This scarf is very large which also makes it incredibly versatile. It can be worn many different ways, but my favorite style and my reason for wanting a scarf of this size (43″ X 43″) is to wear it as a head scarf with the ends crossed in front and then tied in back to fully cover my hair. I always thought that was such a fun style. The scarf is well made with a lovely rolled hem that is neatly stitched in place. The fabric is light-weight, thin and quite sheer but it has a substantial feel to it. It is soft and very smooth and it drapes beautifully. The scarf has the lovely shimmer expected of genuine silk. The product description mentions that this scarf is made of 100% mulberry silk, which is the best type. However, the grade of the silk fibers used in manufacturing the fabric is not disclosed. Since brands typically include this information if the highest grade of silk fiber is used, I would say this scarf is probably made of a mid-grade quality of silk fiber. It is still very, very nice. Similarly the weight of the silk is not indicated. This scarf feels similar in weight to other light-weight silk scarves I have that range from 13 to 19 momme. The product description states that this scarf is printed on both sides, which is not the case, at least for the scarf I received. Both sides look nice, but the printed side is vibrant and highly detailed whereas the reverse side is muted and the details are not as easy to make out, especially on the side with a white outlined easing on green. The scarf arrived beautifully pressed and folded and protected by a plastic sheath. It was tucked into an envelope made of card stock and secured with gold thread. I ordered this scarf for myself, but if I was to give this as a present, I would have needed to pick up a nice gift box or gift bag for a little nicer presentation. Once removed from the packaging the fold marks fell out in just a few hours and it is now ready to wear. The price is very reasonable considering the quality of the fabric as well as the workmanship.
