It looks like real gold although is not a cool tone or yellow gold color. It comes as a lighter rose gold color. I am not used to seeing such a warm gold on me, but it made me see how a rose gold would compliment me. I wouldnât buy if youâre looking for a 14k 24k looking gold. And if you want to see if the jewelry is ever real it would say the karat number somewhere on the locket or somewhere around that area in small detail. I already knew by the price it was not real it states you cannot get wet, but with real gold you can get wet. I wish I knew the color of gold I was getting I was going to layer it with a real yellow gold necklace but now I see it on me itâs too much of a different rose color.
