So much better than expected
I had purchased this in March of 2023 as a birthday gift to myself. My cat Murmur was my first and oldest boy. He was diabetic, blind, and had hardly any teeth, but he was my baby. When we had to say goodbye to him in January of 2023, I knew I wanted to get an urn necklace so that I could have him close to me at all times.I had looked everywhere for one and found a few, but I really wanted one with his picture on it or a locket where I could add a picture. Most of them looked like they would cause irritation (I get contact dermatitis when things sit against my skin) or they looked like they wouldn’t last. Eventually, after months and months, I found this particular listing.I had seen everyone else’s photos of this item and decided to take a chance on it. I thought, well, if it’s half as good as the ones in the other photos, then it’ll be good enough. I picked my picture, added my text on the back (love the ability to add a paw print), and placed the order. A few weeks later, it arrived and I was utterly blown away.Not only was the photo quality phenomenal (I mean, you can see the individual whiskers on his face) but the etching on the back with his name and the paw print was clear and beautiful. While the etching is a little rough, it’s not irritating. The photo is under a glass or resin heart, and it’s crystal clear. I filled it with ashes, a whisker, and some fur, and put it on that day and have not taken it off since. It has withstood showers, swimming in a chlorinated pool, hair dying, and all of my other cats biting and playing with it. There isn’t a scratch on it and it looks as good as the day it arrived. Even the chain is still going strong, which, for me sleeping with it, means a lot since I’ve had a lot of necklace chains break. Even the opening for the ashes and such has a rubber o-ring that means nothing will get out or in once you screw the stopper in tightly. I haven’t had any irritation whatsoever from it, which is amazing since I’ve had $100[+ jewelry give me rashes.The only thing that I would have to say is unless your ashes are very small (mine had some bigger bits in it), the funnel will clog and will not work well. I recommend holding the necklace over a piece of paper and using another piece of paper or something similar to get the ashes in. If you are putting fur and/or a whisker in it, I recommend doing those first and then the ashes so that the ashes will settle in the empty space.The only test I still need to do is how well it fares in the salt water/air on the beach. However, with what it’s withstood so far, I have a feeling it’ll come out just fine.TLDR; Get this necklace. You will not regret it.EDIT: it’s now November 2024, and this necklace is still going strong. I’ve had kittens biting the necklace, wore it in the pool and the ocean, and wore it 24/7 except for a surgery, and it looks pristine. The back has some scratching, but nothing that takes away from the etching on the back. I had many times had things happen that I thought would break/chip the clear cover over the photo, but it’s still perfect. No scratches and it’s gorgeous. I’ve told so many people about this item when they tell me their pet passed so that they can keep their pet with them always as I have done. Don’t hesitate to get this necklace. It’s definitely worth it.

I am so over the moon pleased with this gorgeous piece of jewelry to honor the memory of the precious furbaby I just lost. The chain is sturdy, but not metal, so it won’t affect my hyper sensitive skin. The engraving, though small, is perfectly legible, and the paw print engraving is beautiful. The photo is clear, and well coated to protect it. And the miniature urn is equally beautiful, and will hold some of my furbabies ashes, along with a lock of his hair. I am so happy I ordered this. It was money well spent, and arrived quickly. I was amazed at how sturdy it is. It’s definitely not cheaply made.
