Great scarf, so soft!
This was an early present for my wife and she absolutely loved it. So soft and lightweight, yet perfect for taking the chill off in cold Minnesota winters. I recommend this to anyone looking for a quality scarf.

Nice, but is it really 100% alpaca?
I ordered this scarf to replace a 70%-alpaca, 30%-nylon scarf that I lost. This scarf was nice but arrived in an order with perfumed soap that I had not ordered (I’d ordered non-perfumed), and the smell permeated everything in the box. As a result, I couldn’t bear to have the scarf near me for long and had to decide quickly whether to order a non-smelly replacement or return it. As it happened, the order also contained an alpaca wrap/shawl from the same brand, also supposedly 100% alpaca. The wrap/shawl definitely had the feel of synthetic yarn, and that made me question whether the scarf was really alpaca. If I were confident that the claims on the product page were true (100% alpaca wool, vegetable-source dyes), I’d probably give it five stars; if I were sure that they were false, I’d give only one star, out of indignation at the false advertising. Since I’m not sure, I gave it four stars (benefit of the doubt, since the scarf itself was nice) — but returned it.
